در صنعت نفت، گاز و پتروشیمی که از مهم‌ترین و بزرگ‌ترین صنعت در کشورمان است، دغدغه‌ای همیشگی وجوددارد که مربوط به خوردگی و فرسودگی قسمت‌های مختلف ازجمله لوله‌ها و اتصالات، کانتینرها و… می‌باشد.

از این عایق برای پوشش انواع تجهیزات پتروشیمیایی و نفتی شامل پالایشگاه‌ها، لوله‌ها و تانکرها، ایستگاه‌های گاز و… می‌توان استفاده کرد. همچنین استفاده از پلی یوریای گرم در مواردی که تنش‌های محیطی بالا باشد، پیشنهاد می‌شود.
